Ambassador meets Chairman of Foreign Affairs and Unification Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea
05.10.2021 г.Оn October 5, 2021 H.E. Mr. Andrei Popkov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Korea met with Mr. Lee Kwang Jae, Foreign Affairs and Unification Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea.
During the meeting Andrei Popkov noted Korean initiatives in the field of inter-parliamentary cooperation including the format of Meetings of Speakers of Eurasian Countries’ Parliaments that has become a promising platform for multilateral and bilateral dialogue on a wide range of issues between the participating countries.
Both sides shared their views on the prospects of interaction between the Parliaments of the two countries, including visits exchanges, as well as their potential contribution to the development of cooperation in different areas of mutual interest.
On the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission, Mr. Lee Kwang Jae paid tribute to Belarus Ambassador for the personal engagement in strengthening inter-parliamentary and other Belarus-Korea ties.
