Belarus-Korea Partnership Webinar on Cooperation in Biopharmaceutical Industry

Оn March 26, 2021 Belarus-Korea Partnership Webinar on Cooperation in the Biopharmaceutical Industry was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Korea and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) together with the National Agency of Investment and Privatization of the Republic of Belarus and other Belarusian and Korean participants.

KOTRA is a non-profit organization under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of the Republic of Korea that provides trade promotion services and assistance in the field of investment and industrial technology cooperation between domestic and foreign companies. KOTRA opened its office in Minsk in 2014.

In his welcoming remarks, H.E. Mr. Andrei Popkov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Korea noted the most prospective directions of bilateral interaction and invited Belarusian and Korean participants to explore new forms of innovative cooperation.



H.E. Mr. Kwon Pyung-oh, CEO of KOTRA stressed the increased role of biopharmaceutical industry in the pandemic COVID-19 period and called on strengthening ties between Korean and Belarus as one of the ROK’s partner country of the New Northern economic policy.



From the Belarusian side, the National Agency of Investment and Privatization, Ministry of Health and «Belpharmprom» Holding presented the situation in the pharmaceutical sector, business and investment climate in Belarus, as well as opportunities for cooperation with Belarusian companies.



More than 40 Korean companies showed their interest to the webinar. The webinar is now available on the YouTube channel of the Embassy.
