Ambassador of Belarus to Korea takes part in Knowledge Sharing Program Launching Seminar

Оn January 20, 2021 H.E. Andrei Popkov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Korea participated in 2020/2021 Knowledge Sharing Program Seminar that officially launched a project on the “Intellectual Support for the Organization of Digital Transformation of the Belarusian Industry”.


The Knowledge Sharing Program (KSP) is an economic cooperation program of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Korea designed to share Korea’s development experience with partner countries. Belarus successfully participated in KSP with the first project on the “Digital Transformation of the National Economy of the Republic of Belarus” in 2018/2019. For 2020/2021, two new KSP projects with Belarus have been approved.

In his congratulatory remarks H.E. Andrei Popkov welcomed the current project in the area of digital transformation and stressed importance of studying Korean experience in technological platforms and digital infrastructure development to accelerate sustainable economic growth of Belarus in the era of Fourth Industrial Revolution.


During the online/offline seminar, the Belarusian delegation in Minsk was headed by H.E. Yuri Chebotar, First Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Belarus.

The current situation in digital transformation of the national economy and expected outcomes from the KSP project were presented by the Ministry of Economy.

Belarusian participants from different ministries and organizations shared their views on the upcoming project plan prepared by the Korea Development Institute and several Korean experts.
