On the meeting of the Garden Club of Seoul

On 14 December 2018 the Spouse of Ambassador Mrs. Olga Popkova has welcomed members of the Garden Club of Seoul and its Board that held the annual plenary meeting on the premises of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Korea on the eve of Christmas and New Year holiday season.
The Garden Club is an oldest Korean women association established in 1957 by spouses of ambassadors and respected and eminent members of Korean community in order to promote the art of gardening and floriculture and dissemination of information on cultural traditions of Korea and other countries. The Garden Club composing of 20 international members and 16 Korean representatives also engages in social and humanitarian activities.
During the meeting in Belarus Embassy the Spouse of Ambassador Mrs. Olga Popkova introduced the traditions of celebration of New Year and Christmas and places of interest in Belarus. Much attention was payed to the cultural heritage inscribed on the UNECSO Lists, in particular, to the Intangible Cultural Heritage – Rite of the Kalyady Tsars. The foreign guests had a chance to taste Belarusian national dishes.
