Ambassador of Belarus to the Republic of Korea takes part at the Global ICT Leadership Forum
15.11.2018 г.Оn November 15, 2018 H.E. Mr. Andrei Popkov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Korea participated at «2018 Global ICT Leadership Forum», organized by the Ministry of Science and ICT of the Republic of Korea and the National Information Society Agency (NIA) in Seoul.
In his congratulatory remarks H.E. Mr. Andrei Popkov stressed the importance of the digital transformation of economies in the era of the Fourth industrial revolution and highlighted the recent legislative and strategic measures taken in Belarus to build an IT country.
«2018 Global ICT Leadership Forum» gathered ministerial-level officials and IT professionals from different countries to exchange views on the prospects of ICT development in the modern society.
Mr. Dmitry Shedko, First Deputy Minister of Communinication and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus took part at the ministerial sessions of the Forum.
Mr. Andrei Popkov and Mr. Dmitry Shedko also met Mr. Kim Yong-Hwan, President & CEO of the Korean Trade Network (KTNET) and visited the operational center of KTNET to get acquainted with the paperless trade system operating of the Republic of Korea.
