Ambassador of Belarus to the Republic of Korea met Chairman of KBIZ

Оn August 4, 2020 H.E. Mr. Andrei Popkov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Korea met Mr. Kim Ki-mun, Chairman of Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business (KBIZ).

KBIZ was established in 1962, it is an organization that supports and promotes small and medium-sized enterprises in South Korea, including their foreign economic activities. Nowadays Korean SMEs account for 99% of the total number of companies registered in the country.

Mr. Andrei Popkov highlighted promising areas for bilateral business cooperation, in particular he noted the importance to stregnten interaction in trade and innovation areas in view of the priorities of policies of both countries in Eurasian region.

Mr. Kim Ki-mun expressed the readiness of KBIZ to contribute to establishing and enlarging ties between Belarusian and Korean companies.

The sides exchanged their views on the ways to intensify business contacts between SMEs of Belarus and Korea in the post-pandemic period.
