Consultations between Foreign Ministries of Belarus and Korea on international legal issues held in Seoul

On May 29-30, 2018 Seoul hosted consultations between Foreign Ministries of Belarus and Korea on international legal issues.
The Belarusian Delegation was headed by Andrei Metelitsa, Director General for Treaty and Legal Affairs. The Korean Delegation was led by Bae Jongin, Director General for International Legal Affairs. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Korea Andrei Popkov took part in the event.
The consultations were focused on updating the lists of bilateral treaties and other international instruments in force between Belarus and Korea. The Delegations have also exchanged information on the practice of implementation of treaties and on the progress in concluding new international legal instruments.
The Delegations had a discussion on other international legal issues including cooperation within the frameworks of international organizations.
During the event Belarusian Delegation also held meetings with Woo In Shik, Director General for Overseas Koreans and Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, the management of the Center for International Law of the Korea National Diplomatic Academy, as well as the representatives of the UNCITRAL Regional Centre for Asia and the Pacific.
