On the meeting of the Garden Club of Seoul
20.02.2020 г.On 14 February 2020 the Spouse of Ambassador Mrs. Olga Popkova welcomed members of the Garden Club of Seoul and its Board that held the regular meeting on the premises of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Korea.
The Garden Club is an oldest Korean women association established in 1957 by spouses of ambassadors and eminent members of the Korean social and business communities in order to promote the art of gardening and floriculture and dissemination of information on cultural traditions of Korea and other countries. The Garden Club composing of 20 international members and 16 Korean representatives also engages in social and humanitarian activities.
During the meeting Mrs. Olga Popkova told about the flora and forest wealth of Belarus and introduced healing plants and traditions of making herbal teas. She also made the presentation of one of the first pharmaceutical Belarusian companies producing herbal medicines — LLC “Biotest”. In particular, the herbal tea collections “Aromas of Nature” and “Garadzenskaya garbata” were introduced.
The herbal tea tasting was held. The presentation took the great interest of the participants. The quality of the herbal products got high appraisal. The foreign guests had a chance to taste Belarusian national dishes.
